Trip Sheet 'Toons'

A cab driver isn't always driving. Between trips there is often a lot of parking and waiting. Reading is one good way to pass the time, and I did a lot of that. And, though I'm not an artist, I gradually taught myself to draw by decorating my "trip sheets" -- an informal record of where I picked up and dropped. At the top of each was the date, and usually the the cab number and starting odometer reading.

Here are a few of those that might be amusing. You'll notice that they tend to include naked women. Experiencing naked women has always been my favorite activity, so naturally they are my choice of subjects to draw. The perceptive will also notice that my female "characters" were portrayed as intelligent and clever, qualities I appreciate in women almost as much as nudity.
