Participation in some form of sexual activity is nearly
universal, yet, despite the fact that it isusually done in
private, there is constant controversy and a tangled web of laws
about it.
People spend hours arguing about what kinds of sex sould be
allowed, what kinds of people
should be allowed to do it, when, where, and for what reason.
Those who would presume to
control other people's sex lives are obsessed with either sex
itself, or with power. In either case, such people are unable to
fully enjoy sex, usually because they are victims of a warped
thought process that pervades western culture, originating in the
Christian religion.
Christianity is not entirely bad. Many of its positive
teachings would be beneficial if practiced. But somehow, the idea
that anything that FEELS GOOD is 'sinful' evolved, probably
sometime
in the middle ages among monks that wore hair shirts and whipped
themselves.
While this is no longer explicitly taught by mainstream
Christianity, the mindset remains, and still controls the
attitudes toward sex. Since religion seldom encourages logical
thinking, and religious leaders have not repudiated the error
(they, too, are its victims), the anti-sex ideas remain. They are
not supported by Christian scriptures, but are retained by mental
and social inertia.

Because sex is fun, many underestimate its importance in
the function of human society.
Sex is the the glue that bonds human beings into a society.
Without grouping, neither our
intelligence nor our opposable thumbs would have sufficed to
advance us to civilization.
For reproduction puposes, it would be enough for humans to
have heat cycles every 9 months.Reproduction is only incidental.
Constant sexual attraction keeps the group together.
This is as true today as it was in prehistoric times.
Although no amount of legislation, religion, or bad
teaching can reduce the power of sex as
the primary human motivator, such things can warp it enough to
create problems. Most of these problems stem from the fact that
anti-sexuality affects men and women differently, and as a result
drives a wedge between the sexes.
While females can develop an equally strong natural interest in
sex, the raw drive to seek it
may be genetically lower than in males. This makes girls more
vulnerable targets of anti-sexual propaganda. They are put under
strong social pressure to resist sex, and to deny their own
sexual desires. Those who rebel against this teaching risk
becoming social outcasts.
The propaganda given boys is less consistent. Intense
pressure on them is more likely to cause confusion and serious
antisocial behaviour, such as sexual violence, or asocial and
sometimes self-destructive behaviour. More often they are
relatively unguided.
The idea conveyed by the title Men are from Mars;
Women are from Venus may often seem true, especially to men.
The difference, however, is mostly socially created. Men and
women are both human beings, capable of rational thought and
honest communication. Because of early anti-sexual conditioning,
however, this is often never achieved.
Although there actually more women than men in the
population, the economics of sex would seem to indicate that
women are in short supply. Men spend billions of dollars per year
seeking women, paying them directly for sex, and buying all sorts
of media to enable them to imagine actually having sex.
There is nothing wrong with sexual entertainment, but when
it is the only outlet for millions
of lonely men, something is amiss.
The only real solution is a long-term revision of our
social attitudes. We must stop brainwashing children. They need to
learn that sex is a good thing, and of course how to prevent
disease and pregnancy. Parents must rise above their own
childhood conditioning to avoid being shocked and afraid when
their pubescent progeny plunge into pleasure.
We must also put the antisexual reactionaries on notice
that they are an aberrant minority, and that they will not be
allowed to dictate the private pleasures of others. It is time
for pro-sexuals to rise up, thrust our feelings forward, and
spread our message.
